The Lighthouse Styx

Overview

Join us in following the story of Jane. She's a professed ""city girl"" who is given the opportunity to change her life by responding to a job advertisement that, upon further review which she probably should have given it in the first place, is suspiciously vague. The changes come in unexpected ways when she discovers that the ""office with a view"" is not only a sentient Lighthouse on a seemingly deserted island, but also the launching point for the self-development she's craved. There's a cat, a crow, and a swarthy old sailor of indeterminate origins. A tall, dark, and handsome stranger brings a larger mystery to the island that she finds she must solve to save all their lives, literally. And a little bit of magic. Just a tiny bit. It's completely believable and you won't be surprised at all how the story ends. Or does it? Part two, anyone? Yes, please! With regards and a little bit of magic, happy reading shipmates!

Author Information

Tiberius Jácint Parker is an accomplished professional in the world of publishing and editing, an academic, artist, and all-around scholar. Most importantly, she's the best friend of up-and-coming indie author Lavender Penner. Tiberius took Lavender up on the offer of not only being her editor but also mentoring her into becoming a published author. Tiberius gave her the opportunity to practice her hand at editing by writing this novel for her, then permission to publish the story to help financially support her while she is learning the craft. In their free time, they enjoy horseback riding together on quiet, wooded trails, watching Star Trek: The Next Generation (because it's the most preeminent iteration of the legendary franchise ever), and are engaged in a fiercely spirited mutual endeavor to make the best dad jokes.
