Overview

Summer is 17 and facing new challenges in her life, and once more she begins to doubt herself and her ability to cope with the changes her life is demanding. All the old anxieties and negative thoughts begin to creep back to taunt her, and she fears she will fail and withdraw from the world as she had done before at the age of 14. She longs to visit the mystic Gaelic Island in a Bottle once more. This mythical isle that never shows on any map exists inside an old whisky bottle created by a sailor at sea in the days of Clippers and three-masted sailing ships. There she knows she will have the support of her friends Muffidy the Selkie (a shapeshifter from seal to man) and Auld Maggie, a wise Gaelic grandma figure, both of whom she came to love and trust before and from whom she had learnt so much about coping with life. There is no way to gain access to this magical place except by invitation, and she has given up hope that it may happen again; it seemed to have been so long ago, that is until the freak Tornado hit one day. Unlike her previous visit when she went exploring on a Schooner to Nordic waters, this time she finds herself trapped in a Lighthouse with deep secrets, and helps a young Viking discover who he really is. There are many adventures and troubles to cope with along the path. Will it be possible that she can regain the spirit and strength she found before? This time, it may not have the ending she wants, but who knows what will happen with all of life's twists and turns?
