Overview

John Taylor, third president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, espoused the work of the Lord in the last days because he had the light of truth burning within him when it was first made known to him. He lived a fearless, noble and God-like life-let those who still live seek to emulate his noble example. He was the champion of human rights, the champion of liberty, truth and freedom. He lived a noble, useful life, full of honor and credit to himself and family, a satisfaction to the people and a glory to God. He was known to be a man determined to do right, to see justice administered, truth upheld, and honor sustained among this people. He lived to see this people pass through many changes.
