Public Library Quarterly Lists of study questions and lots of the nitty-gritty on doing things, solving problems, and much more enhance the book's usefulness, as does its coverage of the important, though more peripheral areas of public relations and lobbying for funding. Author Information
Lorraine Williams (BA, University of Toronto; MSW, University of Ottawa), formerly a member of the North York Public Library Board, is Vice-Chair of the Metropolitan Toronto Library Board. Her human relations skills (as group therapist and marital/individual counselor) combine well with her down-to-earth writing style (as author of numerous articles and books) and extensive experience as Past President of both the Ontario and the Canadian Library Trustees Association, and member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Library Association.
