Overview

Dahlia is all grown up and the new Keeper of Stories, but her new life in a futuristic city is about to be shattered. A shadowy creature has captured her mentor, Astra, and is hunting the Children of Destiny. It's a monster that devours magic itself. Dahlia is out of options. She's forced to call for the only backup she can trust: herself. She pulls her younger, messier, pajama-wearing self from the past, a girl armed with an imagination so untamed it's practically a superpower. Now, two Dahlias must team up. One is bound by rules, the other by pure, chaotic creativity. To save Astra, they'll have to battle scrap-metal monsters and fly mechanical owls. But will they discover that the greatest nightmare of all was born from a fear they both share? (P.S. Dahlia has a new sidekick. A fluffy, unexpected, and very... opinionated one. He's been promoted to Keeper's Helper-Secretary, a title that mostly involves demanding snacks and offering expert foot-massage services. So far, there have been no takers.)
