Overview

Four years after Julia Rider closed the case of the Ghost of Gormsey and was finally able to let Amelia Price rest in peace, she is peacefully living in Boston with her daughter, Carrigan. Having given up her life as Sheriff of Gormsey to serve as a Lieutenant in the Boston Police Department, she is sure she is finally able to put the past to rest and move forward. However, when a homicide in Boston perfectly mimics Amelia Price's death, and a letter and a rose are found at the scene, Julia has no choice but to return to Gormsey, where the release of a book on the events of the Ghost has drawn production of a movie to town, and a killer tries to recreate the events, sending Julia through the horror all over again.
