The Lenape Spring

Overview

The Lenape Spring follows, through the course of geological and human time, the saga of a holy Native American spring located in suburban New Jersey and what happens to the status quo when circumstances raise the possibility that the spring and valuable nearby property remain under the legal ownership of the Delaware (Lenape) Nation. The Doctrine of Discovery and the origins or mis-origins of private real property rights in colonial America are examined. The Man Who Stole Mike Tyson's Stool is a lightly fictionalized version of a tale told to the author by a man who claims to, along with unsavory co-conspirators, have stolen Mike Tyson's Stool after a major title bout in Atlantic City. But that's just the beginning of twisted after the theft intrigue that a clever lawyer tries to get to the bottom of. The Day the Snow Day Died laments the loss of the Snow Day and other cherished traditions killed off by technology. Asteroid M-3139 takes old fashioned greed, power politics and big money on an adventure to the asteroid belt in search of billions of dollars worth of precious minerals. This story features, an existential threat to the Earth and back by popular demand, Arno and Wally Grizzard the deliciously corrupt Senator and wife team last seen in the short story ""The Originalist"". The Fable of Project Plowshare or How to Invest in an Atomic Bomb investigates the Atomic Energy Commission's unsuccessful attempt to promote peaceful and profitable uses of atom bombs for construction and mining operations. Focus is on the lightly fictionalized difficulties the real Project Plowshare encountered with one project located in Rulison, Colorado. Chemical Castration considers some unexpected insights and understanding about the male-female spectrum when testosterone is pharmaceutically removed from the male body.
