Overview

In 9 AD, 15-year-old Robert is thrust from the year 2020 into the freezing mud of the Germanic frontier, just as a massive tribal uprising looms against Rome. Clad in a modern hoodie and hiking boots, and armed only with a multi-tool and a bag of fireworks, he is captured by a Roman scouting party that mistakes his ""alien"" gear for barbarian spycraft. Despite being a skilled hunter, Robert is a natural mechanic at heart; he manages to buy his life by using modern physics to repair a broken Onager catapult that has stumped the Legion's engineers. Granted a precarious status as a probationary auxiliary, Robert must navigate the brutal hierarchy of a Roman fort under siege.
