Overview

THE BLOOD-BORNE WIZARD (Book 1 of the Legend of the Aetherion trilogy) an epic fantasy in which a homeless orphan becomes the unwilling host of an ancient cosmic power-and the only thing standing between a blood-magic tyrant and global domination. In the world of Noctharis, the ruthless sorcerer Vaelgrim is poised to seize absolute power during the coming Red Eclipse. The only force capable of stopping him is the Aetherion-a sentient cosmic energy that maintains balance between light and dark throughout the universe, but it cannot act alone. It must choose a mortal vessel. It chooses Elias: a sixteen-celestial-turn (years old) street orphan who risks his life to save a stranger from a cursed beast, the xyraxal. That stranger turns out to be Princess Seraphina, and Elias's selfless act marks him as the next Aetherion host. Now, with Vaelgrim's kelzirans and ravagers hunting him, Elias-joined by Seraphina, his three orphan friends, and two Solmarian soldiers-must travel to Thalveris, home of the Wizard Council, to learn how to master his new powers before the Red Eclipse arrives and the world falls.
