Born into a pastor's home, he began working at a local five-and-dime as a teen. Marrying his high school sweetheart, the young couple began a small picture-frame shop. In 1972 they opened their first retail store. Today Hobby Lobby has more than three hundred stores in twenty-seven states. David and his wife Barbara have three grown children. Jim Seybert is an award-winning audiobook narrator with more than 100 titles to his credit. His ""serious voice with a twinkle in its eye"" has recorded books for major publishers, smaller houses, and independent authors in categories ranging from historical fiction to critical social issues. He records in a professionally designed home studio minutes from the Pacific Ocean near Pismo Beach, CA.
