His experience includes banking, investment funds, capital markets, financial regulation, derivatives, corporate law and trade finance, and he is currently working in-house at DLL. He is the author of the e-book The Inside Job: Working as an In-House Lawyer, which promotes best practice in the role of in-house lawyer, and his articles on topical areas of law and regulation are widely published. He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland’s In-house and Public Sector Committee, Vice-Chairman of the In-house Committee of the Dublin Solicitors’ Bar Association and Ireland’s country representative for the Association of Corporate Counsel Europe. He also lectures on the Law Society of Ireland’s Diploma and Professional Practice courses on topics ranging from prudential regulation to consumer legislation. In 2014 he was listed in the Legal 500 GC Power list of “Rising Stars” and was voted ‘In-house Counsel of the Year - Ireland’ at the 2015 Finance Monthly Legal awards.
