Jane, Donna, and sweet baby dog Lily live in Claremont, California, half an hour east of Los Angeles. California has been home since the late 1960s when Jane boarded her new little Ford Fairlane (with loan co-signed by her dad) and drove alone across the country to teach 7th-grade English in Porterville. After two years, craving bright lights and the big city, she moved to Los Angeles and began a thirty-year career in hospital management.
