I bought when it first was published. Happy I did. We read most nights. Finally a children's book with a concept kids will enjoy and parents can identify with. This beautifully illustrated book captures the struggle of a young and ambitious family's first trip to visit the grandparents. It focuses on those all too familiar moments when the one thing that can bring back peace and quiet cannot be found. It also does it in a very thoughtful way. Instead of just being a silly story with images to capture your child's attention, it ends with activities to keep your child engaged as they mature. This is a book your family will enjoy for years to come. What a beautiful book! The story is charming and love all the hidden details of the illustrations. My 2 year old daughter loves it! Giggles Galore If you love to laugh with your children, this books for you! Such a fun read filled with adventure, cute rhymes, and cheeky art. I have already re-purchased this book as a gift for family friends.

Author Information

Jennifer resides in California with her husband and two son's. Her background is in elementary education. A large (quite literally) part of her family revolves around the family Great Dane, Henry. Jenny's a true cheesehead from Madison, Wisconsin. She's grown up under the philosophy of growing older but never up! Joe Huffman is an accomplished illustrator who has kept his inner child. His ability to capture a character's soul from an author's mind can be seen within the pages of this story.
