OverviewThe Lambretta story in Britain is one of outstanding achievement and important historical significance. While the people and company responsible for this success played their part, so did certain individuals, none more so than two brothers raised in Nottingham. Following in their father's footsteps, John and Norman Ronald were immersed in all that the Lambretta had to offer. First, as owners, but in time, two of the most naturally gifted riders the country had seen. Competing in all disciplines of scooter sport throughout the 1960s, they became at times almost untouchable. Before long, they came to the attention of Bob Wilkinson, who, as head of Lambretta Club Great Britain, saw the potential in them. By offering them the opportunity to race with support from the club and factory, they took on all opponents, both home and abroad. The crowning event was the annual Isle of Man Scooter Week, which they dominated throughout the decade. This was further enhanced by their introduction to Arthur Francis, who, with his legendary S-Type Lambretta, allowed them to be island champions as Team S Equipe. The Lambretta People Part Two- The Ronald Brothers, this is their story.
