The story is quite simply beautiful. I've always had a soft spot for all the characters in the Duke and the Baron, but now, I am completely enamoured of Hugh. What a remarkable man he is. The tension that built at the possibility of Ellie and Louisa getting caught had me holding my breath. The love--between Ellie and Louisa, Louisa and Amelia, Amelia and Hugh and Charles, Charles and Hugh, just kept building and building until it flooded the pages...
