Overview

One bitterly cold winter day in 1980 I stumbled upon a lost package sent from Romania and meant for a nearby address. I went to the house to deliver the box and found a dead man! He lay on his stomach with two puncture marks on the back of his neck. His body, though dead for some time, was nearly odorless and bloodless. I left the home quickly, taking the mysterious wooden box home with me. The box had proved too tempting for an inquisitive teen like me. I opened it and discovered a medieval text documenting a centuries-long hunt for vampires. My overwhelming curiosity propelled me into the secretive realm of the Kresniks, whose daggers sought to end the reign of cursed, blood-sucking demons, but unearthing such revelations made me an easy target for the undead. Over the next few days my curiosity and missteps put me deeper and deeper into trouble. Then as if out of a dream I met a beautiful and mysterious Romanian transfer student at my school. But there was far more to her than what she appeared to be. My desperation led to a transformation into something not entirely human. A colossal error and the twist of fate thrust me down a dark path towards love, loss, and adventure!
