t's Christmas Eve, the most magical day of the year, but Ginni's heart is breaking. For this is the first Christmas without mom. As Ginni's melancholy Christmas Eve unfolds, strange things begin to happen. Lights flash on and off, music plays by itself, an owl circles around and around the house, all of which lead the entire family outside. What they discover under the maple tree will change all of their lives forever. But what happened that Christmas Eve is not the only mystery needing to be solved. While at home on Christmas break, the entire family begins to have small items go missing. Mysteries abound and Ginni, while still trying to cope with her grief, must do what she can to make sense of their mysterious Christmas Eve discovery as well as to figure out who is the sneaky thief. Author Information

Nova DuBois has spent her life among children's books and elementary-aged children. She began her love of children's literature in her early teens when volunteering at her hometown's library where she held Saturday morning storytelling hour and assisted in maintaining the children's book area. This passion resulted in preand post-graduate degrees in library science. She enjoys bringing stories to life for children and watching their imaginations soar. She has her own special black cat who helps provide inspiration for the Vine Street Mysteries series. This is the first book of this series, and who knows where her black cat will lead her?
