""Stephen Gowans' Washington's Long War on Syria is probably the most important book on the war in Syria that members of the general public should be reading right now....if you do not want repetition of more of the same, of the self-serving mantra that commands us to intervene in Syrian affairs, and to remake Syria nominally for the Syrians (but really for the sake of our corporations and political elites), then this is the book you will want to read."" --Maximilian C. Forte, author of Slouching Towards Sirte, NATO'S War on Liby and Africa
