OverviewWhat is behind the strange sightings in the skies over this little Iowa town? An experimental military drone, or a UFO, as some witnesses claim? And why has nearby Rittenberg Air Force Base suddenly gone on security lockdown? The Wings Diner is abuzz with rumors as a black C-17 cargo plane with no tail number identification lands in the middle of the night. The timing of all this could not be worse for Rittenberg's commanding officer, Colonel Max Texas Truston, as the airbase is about to celebrate its 75th anniversary with an airshow featuring the U.S. Air Force's elite demonstration team, the world famous Thunderbirds. Soon a young boy, his grandfather, and a private investigator from Chicago find themselves engulfed in a thrilling adventure involving an old bi-plane, fighter jets, a mysterious craft, and dangerous encounters with a super-secret federal intervention unit. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationHubert Pedroli is a financial services industry consultant and an avid armchair pilot who once flew his Cessna 172 under the Arc de Triomphe (Courtesy of Microsoft(R) Flight Simulator). As a teenager, while still living in his native country of France, he read a book about UFOs and became convinced that the aliens would officially land and introduce themselves at the United Nations within a year. The aliens did not land, at least not officially, and he more or less gave up on the subject for many years. A chance encounter with a website full of UFO enthusiasts once again sparked his interest in the subject a few years ago. The Joyrider is Hubert Pedroli's first novel. He and his wife Mary and their Golden Retriever, Scottie, live in New York's Hudson Valley, the site of a massive and well-documented UFO wave in the early 1980s. He is currently working on his next tale, which tackles a very different but equally unfathomable and elusive subject...the game of golf! Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
