Winsome Patricia Marshall was born in Clarendon, Jamaica to Earl Winston Marshall and Cecilia Johnson-Marshall. She migrated to the United States in the early '90s. She subsequently met and married the father of her children. They had three daughters, Maria, Loretta and Lauren. After working as a stay-at-home mother and educator to her children, she decided that she would pursue a career in public education. Later, she earned a master's degree in education and is currently serving at a Title 1 school.Winsome's passion for writing stemmed from her observation about life. She cares about humanity and is on a quest to discover herself in hopes that she will help someone else along life's journey. She once stated ""There must be more to life than just about me."" Her caring heart, she stated ""Cannot rest until her spirit finds answers to her purpose in life."" The Journey Within is one small step in the right direction.
