The Journey of St. Paul's is an illustrated children's book that tells the story of St. Paul's, a gothic structure in the Village of Garden City, New York. This book permanently documents its history and beauty through a story of its journey since the community was founded and the first cornerstone to the building was laid to the present day. A series of hand painted watercolors accompany the story of each historical milestone. This book can begin a discussion on historical preservation for other communities and their structures. The Journey of St. Paul's is a Girl Scout Gold Award Project.

Cara Griffin is a Girl Scout Ambassador and a sophomore at Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead, New York. Her love of history and architecture inspired this historical fiction story about St. Paul's School in Garden City, New York. She has aspired to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award since she was a Daisy in Troop 1612. Cara lives with her parents and three siblings in Garden City where they can be found fanatically rooting for the New York Rangers. The Journey of St. Paul's is her first published book.
