Even though we are faced with the reality of our own certain demise, we shy away from talking about the issue with those who are chronologically closer to life's end. The older population tends to be marginalized by our society, and avoidance of the topics of death and afterlife is one more marginalization. This book outlines a 6 week program to help pastors, chaplains, or lay leaders begin to have this very important conversation with the older adults they serve."

Rebecca G. Church is the Director of Pastoral Services for Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Louisville, Kentucky. She has spent the past 20 years serving the senior population and offering spiritual support to the aged. She holds her Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and her Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Care from The Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She is an ordained Baptist minister.
