OverviewThe Joshua Tree tells the story of Jake, a young boy who ventures into the desert looking for treasure, only to find a tree. Jake sees the harsh conditions the tree must endure, and so decides to bring it home so that he can take care of it. However, upon doing so, he realizes that the tree does not thrive as he thought it would in its new environment, and so Jake must decide what to do. This is a story about learning what it is to care for something/someone else, about observing others so that we might see and respect what their true needs are, and about appreciating nature.
