Overview

Nearly twenty years following her father's death, the author came across a military shoulder patch in his army photo album. Knowing nothing about her father's army service, she began to search the internet using a description of the patch-black background, white eagle's head. From there she began to join together the missing puzzle pieces, even meeting men that completed basic training in the same company as her father. Thousands of men trained at the same military reservation, just in different companies and time frames. Tens of thousands of those men are gone, even forgotten, or, perhaps, believe their role in American history is insignificant. The hope is to keep the memory of the men alive in this book. Author Information

Over a period of years women have said to the author I see you writing. She was certain her first book would be about her Christian faith followed by a second book about her faith and health as both have tremendously impacted who she is today. Little did she know as she contacted men drafted on the same day as her father and discovered many trained in the same company, that one man would ask, Are you going to write a book about us guys? A certified raw vegan chef, the author prepares meals for her husband, enjoys long distance cycling, sewing, and encouraging others to grow in their faith. Her next book will mirror her first that of the men her father served alongside in post WWII Germany. The author and her husband live in and enjoy the four seasons in southeast Michigan.
