Sylvia Levinsohn, a former newspaper reporter, served as president of Poughkeepsie, New York's Temple Beth El Sisterhood, president of the Women's Division of the United Jewish Appeal, and vice-president of Hadassah. She founded the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the National Women's Committee for Brandeis University. Arthur Levinsohn, a retired pharmacist, is a past president of Temple Beth El, Poughkeepsie, New York. Mr. Levinsohn was active in the early promotion of Israel Bonds and is a former president of the United Jewish Appeal of Dutchess County. The Levinsohns' history of puzzle-making embraces several years of their double-crostics syndication by The New York Times, a year under the aegis of the Crossword Club, and the publication of Current Crostics (Quadrangle Press).
