Reviews

The Islamic Challenge clearly sketches the main contours of the emerging institutions, debates and adaptations within the Muslim populations. It also skillfully explores the key Muslim demands and reactions to them...and indicated major cross-national differences...an important book. Contemporary Islam contains powerful messages that may actually help Europe's newest wave of immigrants. getAbstract this is one of the most insightful and enlightening books that have been written recently on Islam in Europe. Souleymane Bachir Diagne, Journal of the American Academy of Religion
