She is the author of The African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights: Practice and Procedures, which is the first monograph on the African human rights system. Originally published by Kluwer Law International in 1996, the book was later published in French and Arabic. She is also the editor of the AFLA Quarterly, with more than 40 issues to date and the AFLA's Book Series with four volumes to date. Ms Ankumah has authored a forthcoming memoire, Hague Girls.
