With the last of their hard-earned savings, his parents have bought him a mysterious box. Inside rests a building set like none ever seen before: the blocks are perfect, the joints are flawless, and every single click fills the boy with a strange, intoxicating satisfaction. Ted can finally build the world he has always desired. But the game soon takes a dark turn. As the model grows, the walls of their house begin to pulse, and the familiar scent of home is replaced by a sweet, sterile aroma. Ted watches in horror as his parents' gazes turn strangely glassy and their movements become angular, as if they are no longer guided by flesh and bone.
