The (Im)Possible Beekeeper: Commonsense methods of making beekeeping fun and functional once again.

Overview

Beekeepers are searching for ways to make beekeeping fun and successful once again. Through years of practical experience and research a simple philosophy and method of beekeeping has been developed by this beekeeper which is easy to implement, satisfying and most importantly, successful. It goes against the conventional wisdom of the current beekeeping world, yet is strictly in line with much that has been done historically. If you are a beekeeper, or want to be one and are getting confused and discouraged by the conflicting and confusing information out there, this may be what you are looking for.

Author Information

Caroline Abbott is a hobby farmer in southwest Michigan. She has been keeping bees since 2005. She has been active in local bee clubs since first beginning beekeeping and began running the local club's club apiary and field days in 2009. Through the experiences of running the apiary and answering questions from new and experienced beekeepers and dealing with the frustrations of the modern beekeeping environment, Caroline began developing a sustainable method for beekeeping which to the modern beekeeping industry seems quite radical, but to the average backyard beekeeper is a breath of fresh air and a reason for hope that beekeeping can actually work and work well even in our modern world.
