OverviewDigital cities are emerging as an alternative way of enhancing the territory to complement the organization of real cities. In Brazil, the Ministry of Communication's Digital Cities project seeks to create the means for citizens to access, use, produce and disseminate information and knowledge in order to participate effectively and critically in the information society.
