Dr Nallur B Ramachandra began his academic career in zoology at the University of Mysore, India in 1992 and later became the founding chairman of the Department of Studies in Genetics and Genomics. He served as a postdoctoral fellow at McMaster University (Canada), senior research associate at the University of California, Los Angeles (USA), and visiting professor at the University of Innsbruck (Austria). His pioneering research spans the genetics and genomics of Drosophila, microbes, and humans, with over 290 publications recognized for several awards and fellowships. Currently, he holds the Department of Atomic Energy Dr Raja Ramanna Chair, India. Dr Chinmayi Ramachandra Kaundinya is a scientist, educator, and innovator with over 14 years of expertise in genomics, personalized medicine, and AI-driven health technologies. A gold medalist in molecular biology from the University of Mysore and PhD graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay, she has led initiatives in rare disease genomics, digital twins, and AI-enabled drug discovery. Her integrative work in multi-omics and digital health advances precision medicine and promotes equitable access to genomic technologies.
