Thomas W Paradis is a professor of geography, planning and recreation, and director of the office of academic assessment at the Northern Arizona University, USA. His specific areas of research interest are non-metropolitan growth and change, downtown redevelopment, cultural landscapes and architecture, heritage tourism and theme development, rural economic restructuring, urban growth coalitions, and neo-traditional urban design. He is the author of two books and has contributed many articles to journals and books.
