Professor Gill R. Evans of Cambridge University is the series editor of the I.B.Tauris History of the Christian Church, and a contributing author. Along with Professor Evans, we have commissioned internationally acclaimed academics - authors also of proven ability to write for both the general and student readerships and with sensitivity to the surrounding concerns of modern faith and church. Few assumptions of background knowledge of the Christian creed or of the Bible on the part of the reader will be made in the series.
