The Hummingbirds

Overview

When Jack, the has-been Hollywood actor, surfaced from the murky waters of Amsterdam's dirty black canal, he knew little about his next encounter with a mysterious woman with great skills and a dark profession. Could he understand the danger of their adventure? How far could he go to save the life of a trafficked girl? Can he redeem and save his own child? When the accomplished Amsterdam female detective visits a missing girl's family, her encounter with a neighbour starts a cooperation that is interrupted by a brutal attack. Will Cynthia's special ability help her find the attacker? Will the investigation progress further to find a dangerous killer? Will someone from Chicago help her? How much does the past determine the actions of the present? Can pain and suffering provide relief, and how many times can one start a life over? Although Maya's life is defined by the past, in the present, she tries to give the fallen a chance. Will she be able to escape from her own scars and the brutal violence?
