Overview

Howard Worner is recognized as a pioneer in the development of the technique of injection in pyrometallurgy for metal processing. Injection processes offer improvements in productivity, energy consumption and environmental management, and have become much more important as the industry treats more complex materials and seeks to better manage wastes. This proceedings volume is a collection of 35 international papers focusing on issues in ferrous and non-ferrous processing, and innovations in injection metallurgy relating to intense smelting, bath smelting, converting, fuming, alloying, fluxing and refining.
