Mark Ivancic's life is an adventure. Whether teaching, strumming his guitar, playing a game of hockey, or climbing a mountain, Mark faces life with energy and optimism. He has this desire to grow stronger mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. His passion is to share the lessons of life with those around him.Mark was born in Shumacher, Ontario to proud Slovenian immigrants, Joe and Josephine. His journey then took him to St. Thomas University to play hockey, on to Windsor to work with at risk youth, and then to Alberta to be closer to teach (and be closer to the Rockies). He and his wife Ann Marie welcomed Megan to their home and parenting became a new passion. For 28 years, Mark taught French Immersion as well as taking a leadership role with junior high students offering them opportunities to grow their humanity through life skills courses.Drastic life change came in the Spring of 2018 when Mark returned home from a hockey game and suffered a stroke. Facing mental and physical challenges greater than any he'd ever known, Mark began a journey that continues to this day. This book is Mark's journey of hope, love, and resilience.
