The Home of Lost Things: A Tale of America

Overview

The Big Feast Cafe is a weird and wonderful place. Victor's wife is missing. The police are making no progress. Victor believes they suspect him. Acting on a business card found in his mailbox, Victor goes out one night in search of The Big Feast Cafe, a place where the lost are said to gather. His search draws him into one crime scene after another. Soon a pair of cops are chasing him for a murder. The Big Feast Cafe proves to be a weird place indeed. Victor encounters a strange set of triplets, a man who might be a ghost, and a man-sized toad along with other curious patrons. And then there is a black cat with eyes as deep green as holly leaves. Victor despairs of finding his wife but may find just what he needs. The Home of Lost Things is an eccentric urban fantasy set against the background of a world losing its hope and joy. If you like short tales dipped in strangeness and weirdness, you should visit The Big Feast Cafe.
