"""This book offers a diverse collection of essays, bonded by their concern with the identity and mission of God's holy people. But don't expect bland, theoretical discussions. These essays speak into tough contexts like the climate crisis, systemic racism, and gender identity. Global in its scope, perceptive, and at times provocative, The Holy People of God will lead you to a deeper grasp of a church called to embody holiness in an unholy world."" --Dean Flemming, professor emeritus of New Testament, MidAmerica Nazarene University ""As Kent Brower's first PhD student, it is my singular honor to write an endorsement for this Festschrift. The contributors, beyond the immediate task of celebrating the life of Kent Brower, have produced a masterpiece and must-read book on holiness that touches every sphere of human life. It also shows the multifaceted nature and relevance of holiness for contemporary society. These essays reflect Brower's legacy and lifelong interest in holiness and underscore the reason that the issues to which he has devoted so much of his work will hardly die or fade away."" --J. Ayodeji Adewuya, professor of New Testament, Pentecostal Theological Seminary ""In a period of holiness-amnesia occurring within the Western church, this set of essays engages not only the biblical imperative to holiness but also what holiness means regarding some of the most pressing contemporary issues facing Christians today. Through this collection of essays, the reader is afforded exposure to the best of Wesleyan living theology."" --Graham McFarlane, senior lecturer in systematic theology, London School of Theology ""Kent Brower, himself a fine scholar and teacher, has guided many students and scholars along the road of truth and practical holiness. This fine tribute to Professor Brower is itself a valuable piece of scholarship that engages both biblical truth and contemporary issues. The depth and quality of Kent Brower's life is beautifully reflected in this superb volume."" --Howard A. Snyder, author of The Community of the King ""Kent Brower faithfully serves the Church of the Nazarene through his leadership, teaching, and scholarship. With his gentle, compassionate heart and keen intellect, Kent has invested in the development of Nazarene Theological College's PhD program and in students from around the world. I am grateful for Kent's friendship and collegiality, and along with the chorus of many others, express my deepest appreciation for his life and ministry in the Church of the Nazarene and at Nazarene Theological College."" --Mark Maddix, pastor, San Dieguito United Methodist Church"
