Three thousand years ago, the gods died. Or most of them did. Oryn Vale is a grave-digger's apprentice in the town of Fellmere when the soil begins to speak his name. Not the wind. Not imagination. Something vast and shattered and impossibly patient - pressed into the bedrock of the basin for three millennia - has finally found a listener it recognizes. The Hollow God is not dead.
