OverviewThis book sets forth glimpses into the lifelong journey lived by a man who grew to become a truly remarkable teacher of singing. It contains his musings on the art of teaching voice students how to sing freely and beautifully, using a holistic approach to develop the total instrument of body, mind, spirit, and voice. Based upon a thorough knowledge of the mechanics of the vocal instrument, James McDonald used imagery in his teaching. He inspired his students to develop a trust in what their minds and bodies could do to discover and facilitate the expression of their own personalities and their own unique vocal sounds and characteristics.
