Overview

Though her fellow Holiday Spirits could assist Mortals with belief in their different holidays, Holly, the Spirit of Christmas, was never given the opportunity. Instead, she was doomed to do nothing but write out the assignments for her siblings as they went to the Mortal Realm to fulfill their individual purposes under the cruel direction of Wren, the Spirit of Halloween. This changes when Holly sees a man struggling significantly with belief, not only in Christmas, but is wracked with constant torment of memories of Christmases past. Determined to escape the Spirit World and achieve her purpose as one of the Holiday Spirits, Holly sneaks through the Portal between the Spirit Realm and the Mortal Realm to seek him out. When the two meet, Mr. Aaron Jasper seems the most cynical and stubborn person in all the Realms. But once she discovers the secrets of what has made him so hurt by the world, she realizes maybe she'd been wrong about him and maybe she'd been wrong about the true meaning of her own holiday as well. Holly must find a way to convince Jasper of this before her time runs out at midnight Christmas Day or else she could be banished for abandoning her post in the Spirit Realm and stealing the assignment that changed her existence forever.
