Overview

The Holiday Express is written for children between the ages of three and seven years old as they search for word representation to help them find meaning in language. In this writing, language pertaining to American holidays is given meaning through the concrete images of train cars that demonstrate what the holiday is about and how one holiday follows another in time. The cars represent the holidays commonly found in the American culture.
