The idea that truth always triumphs over lies is one of the great frauds of history. We remain under the lie. When we were told, vote for this king; we voted for him. When, after a fierce period, we were told, vote for the Dictatorship; we voted for it. When, after another fierce period, we were told, vote for the Republic; we voted for it. And, after another fierce one, No! Not now! Now vote for Democracy! we voted for it. What will we be told tomorrow?... The point is that they make people believe they govern themselves, and thus they will allow themselves to be governed. Our problem is a problem of ""education.""
