Despite the popularity of the musical Hamilton, the United States Constitution can be a rather dry subject for many young people. Trusiani manages to make the topic sing. Her work has received numerous awards, including The Maine Library Association's 2019 Lupine Honors Award for American Trailblazers: 50 Remarkable People Who Shaped U.S. History. Lisa grew up on the rocky Maine seacoast. She learned to appreciate geology from her rock miner grandfather and her mineral collector dad.
