Overview

Black history is a subject that is often glossed over or simply whitewashed. Most books tend to water down or omit information that could empower us if we knew the true story of our history. I decided to create our own book to document our history from a Black perspective. We'll go year by year from the very beginning of the slave trade in the 1400s to where we are today to give us context on how the system of white supremacy was created. Hopefully it'll give us a better chance to challenge that system. Within the pages of Volume One we'll see how the concept of racism was created and examine the institution of slavery.
