Stephanie Rose Bird holds a BFA cum laude from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University, and an MFA from the University of California at San Diego. Bird works as an artist, herbalist, and aromatherapist. She is co-owner of SRB Botanica with her daughter. L. Malaika Cooper is a writer, travel professional, and occasional comic. She is also an avid hiker and yogi and has traveled to more than thirty countries. A journalist by vocation, she has written for major publications. Her short stories have been published in various anthologies, and she is currently working on an urban fantasy trilogy. Cooper has performed improv and is studying dialect and voice acting. A Washington DC native, she presently lives in Houston, Texas.
