Malik Jackson has never told anyone about his terror of the dark. When his friend Ian dares him to join a ghost-hunting mission in an abandoned mansion, Malik is afraid he'll be laughed at if he backs down. Especially since the girl he likes is part of the crew. Malik tells him himself that if he stays in lighted rooms, if the flashlights have enough batteries, if the power doesn't go out, he should be fine. Right? "Brandon Terrel (B. 1978-D. 2021) was a passionate reader, Star Wars enthusiast, amazing father, son, uncle, friend and devoted husband. He worked as an assistant director and producer on numerous independent films and commercial productions, as well as writing for the ""Choo Choo Bob Show."" Brandon received his undergraduate degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and his Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University. Brandon was a talented storyteller, authoring more than 100 books for children in his career. In Brandon's memory, consider picking up a Stephen King novel or a comic book, re-watching The Mandalorian, reading an old Hardy Boys adventure, and saving an open seat for the next Star Wars movie. Mariano Epelbaum is a Character Designer, illustrator and traditional 2D animator. Working professionally since 1996 in various disciplines of Animation and Illustration where characters that designs tend to be very expressive and original. Currently in art direction on several projects, always trying different styles and techniques. As an animation artist, participated in outstanding productions in Argentina, as Character art director and character designer of Foosball, Argentine-Spanish 3D production directed by Juan José Campanella, García Ferré movies Manuelita and Corazón, las alegrías de Pantriste; Micaela (Encuadre SA), Bahía Mágica (Bitt Animation), the three films ""Dibu"" and TV series mi familia es un dibujo (Patagonik film Group), and scenes of the film Ogú y Mampaton ( Hook Up Animation). He has also worked in various animated commercials.In the field of illustration collaborated with Spanish publishers Edebé, Planeta De Agostini, Vicens Vives, Bromera, Imaginarium and Estudio Fenix. He also did work for Alfaguara, El Gato de Hojalata, Pictus, Clasa, Grupo Editorial Norma, Puerto de Palos and Ediciones Urano from Argentina and Santillana from Puerto Rico, United States and UK."
