MEADOW IS TWENTY-FIVE and has never had a friend. Living off-grid in Tasmania she's been raised to not draw attention to herself and to be suspicious of outsiders. Her family have kept something hidden, a secret they don't dare let out. Meadow lives on a farm in Mountain River, a locality nestled under the bosom of Sleeping Beauty Mountain, Huon Valley. When new neighbours move in next door looking for a fresh-start, Meadow's off the radar way of life collides with an unfamiliar, tech-savvy lifestyle. Meadow befriends her unconventional new neighbour, Lottie, discovering a way of life so unlike her own she begins to question everything. Too late, she realises that wild places provoke wild tales, and by unearthing her neighbours' secrets she will reveal her own.
