SUE STARFIELD is Emeritus Professor in the School of Education at the University of New South Wales. Her books include Thesis and Dissertation Writing in a Second Language: A Handbook for Students and Their Supervisors and Change and Stability in Thesis and Dissertation Writing: The Evolution of an Academic Genre. She is Editor Emeritus of the journal English for Specific Purposes and the founding Co-Editor of the Journal of English for Research Publication Purposes. CHRISTOPH A. HAFNER is Professor in the Department of English at City University of Hong Kong. He is President of the Asia-Pacific LSP & Professional Communication Association and past President of the Hong Kong Association for Applied Linguistics. He has published widely on English for specific purposes, digital literacies, and language learning and technology. His latest book is Understanding Digital Literacies: A Practical Introduction.
