Reviews

'This is an excellent resource in the study of workplace bullying. What sets this book apart is the wide range of perspectives that have been taken, identifying the multifaceted nature of the subject. The authors show passion and rigour in their work, and provide a unique insight into this important and complex area.' Mark Horan, Huddersfield University, UK 'Bullying is a blight on the performing arts profession, whether for artists themselves or for those working behind the scenes. The Handbook of Dealing with Workplace Bullying offers international perspectives on the serious problems that exist in all types of workplace and provides useful and timely information about how to understand the issues involved and how to deal with them.' Christine Payne, General Secretary, Equity 'This manual breaks the culture of silence on snakes in suits and workplace fungus . Compulsory reading for bully and bullied, managers and managed, it gives us a greater understanding of how to prevent, recognise and deal with bullying at work, helping us spot it in ourselves or others as the first step to stamping it out of our workplaces.' Sophie Hope, Birkbeck, University of London, UK 'The causes and demographics behind bullying are explored in depth here. But things shift up a gear with an excellent chapter from Sarah Crayford Brown ... followed by a range of case studies and some counter-intuitive thoughts on the perspective of the accused.' People Management, August 2015
